This page explains what emardlumber.ca collects, why, where it goes and how long it is kept. It covers this website only. It does not cover accounts, invoices or anything handled in our yards.

What we collect
We collect personal information in one place on this site: the quote and contact forms. Depending on which form you use, that is your name, company, email address, phone number, the yard you chose, the department you asked about, your timeline, whether you need delivery, your home address for an in-home window and door measure, and whatever you write in the message box.
You do not have to use the forms. You are welcome to phone any of our three yards instead, and nothing is recorded here when you do.
What happens to it
A form submission is emailed to the person who can answer it: window and door enquiries go to our windows and doors desk, everything else goes to our office. The email is sent through Postmark, a service that delivers email on our behalf.
A copy of each submission is stored with our website host for up to one year so that an enquiry is never lost if an email fails to arrive. We use it to reply to you and to prepare your quote. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the people who work on your enquiry and the services named on this page.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it records routine request information such as IP addresses for security and reliability. Cloudflare also adds its Web Analytics script to each page, which counts page views and loading times and sets no cookies.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, and only to remember your answer below. There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking and no social media pixel anywhere on this site.
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is loaded and we remember only your choice.
You can change your mind at any time: open your cookie choices.
Analytics
Once you accept, we use Matomo to understand which pages people find useful. Matomo runs on a server operated for us by Whitecap Data, who look after this website, and the information is not sent to an advertising network. Matomo runs without cookies on this site, and visits from a browser that sends a Do Not Track signal are not recorded.
It records the pages you view, where you arrived from, your browser and device, and an approximate location such as city or region. It does not record your precise location, and we do not use it to identify you personally.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent for analytics at any time using the link above. Contact us and we will take care of it.
